Hi, I’m Ashley!
People tell me my voice is golden: warm, soothing, and a little velvety. I think what they’re hearing is that I’m listening.
I spent more than twenty years in the toy industry at my dad’s company, where I voiced TV commercials, sang a few jingles, and gave some toys their character voices. Then I opened a boutique for tweens. Tweens, it turns out, are a different animal. Two years later I closed the doors, and I’m proud to say I haven’t opened a boutique since.
When the shop closed, I started walking. A lot. Somewhere along those miles I discovered audiobooks, and that was it: my love of reading and the voice I’d been using all along, together at last. This is my next chapter.
For brands, I’m the voice people trust: calm, kind, and real. For authors, I’m a patient narrator who gives the last chapter the same attention as the first. I’ve trained with Voice Over St. Louis at Clayton Studios, work one-on-one with coach Christina Smith, and take acting classes, because the best voice work starts with acting.
Away from the mic, home is a blended family of four kids and Marley, a cat best described as a menace. I’m also the founder of Everybody for Kindness, a non-profit that teaches children to approach the world with confidence and kindness.
I’d love to hear about your project. Head on over to my Contact page and say hello!
